Although these findings in the LGB older adult population are very important, it is vital to keep in mind that the majority of the individuals during these studies defined as lesbian or homosexual. As noted, 52 per cent of this general LGB community identify as bisexual (Moore, 2015); therefore, these studies aren’t representative for the LGB community all together. Also, grouping these unique populations together may well not capture the experience that is true of bisexual older adult.
